ALICE HUBBLE
Kick The Habit
from Polarlichter 2019
With elements of Jane Weaver, Kraftwerk (we hear Ashra) and glam-rock Goldfrapp, London's Alice Hubley is one of the most exciting new arrivals for some time! She describes herself as a "lady locked at home with a vast collection of synthesisers". This was written after Alice finished a tour supporting Canadian band Black Mountain. She says: "Black Mountain are masters of the 'big riff' and after listening to them night on night, I was inspired to attempt my own 'big riff' song drawing further inspiration from... 70s glam- and prog-rock."
